The prestigious event was held at Edgbaston Cricket Stadium on Monday 26th June 2017, where the Midlands hospitality industry came out in force to celebrate another year of great success as a Foodie capital.
The lively affair hosted by proud Brummie Raaj Shamji who kept guests entertained throughout the 33 awards honouring individuals as well as hotels, restaurants, bars, and Birmingham burgeoning street food scene.
Sabai Sabai can now add another award to their trophy shelf, including ones for Best Restaurant at The Birmingham Awards 2015 and at the England Food Awards 2016.
Torquil and Juree Chidwick, the award-winning husband and wife duo behind the independent brand are ecstatic to win another award.
Torquil said: “Thank you to everyone who voted for us, we wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for you. It’s always amazing to be recognized for all the hard work that the Sabai Sabai team has put in.
Judge Kevin Urqhart from Dluxe magazine said: “What I have always admired about them is their passion and commitment to their business. It’s not just about great food and great venue, but about always delivering the best experience for the customers. And there always seems to be a great camaraderie amongst the staff. I think that’s the secret to their success.”
Juree added: “We’re so humbled by all the love for Sabai and we are so proud of our whole team for getting us this far and we are looking forward to opening our fourth venue in the city this autumn.”
