LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Birmingham has announced fabulous new plans to celebrate Birmingham Pride this month, as its Pride parade returns to the centre, alongside an adult night extravaganza.
Whilst normally known for their family fun activities and attractions, for one night a month LEGOLAND offers an adult’s night, with over 18s only, so guests can embrace their inner youth in a totally kid free environment.
The special Pride themed event this month, allows guests to visit LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Birmingham’s very own Pride parade in Miniland, take part in a variety of LEGO activities and enjoy a one-off special Drag show, with two local queens, Yshee Black (she/her) and Bondi (she/her) performing.
Held on September 24th (6-8pm), guests will be able to rejoice in the Pride themed party spectacle, to get themselves prepared for the main event in Birmingham city centre that weekend.
LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Birmingham’s Pride event will also feature a charity raffle with all proceeds going to Circle Birmingham, a community enterprise promoting LGBTQ+ mental and physical health and wellbeing.
Guests can come on down to the event and condragulate their squads LEGO building skills. All abilities are welcome; there’s no need to be a LEGO expert to have fun and people can take part in as much or as little as they like, before sashaying away into the night.
The centre’s Pride parade made completely out of LEGO will also be making a return to Miniland. LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Birmingham’s, Master Model Builder Michelle Thompson, has created a full display of parade floats and decked out Birmingham’s iconic locations in rainbows, pride decorations and mini figures celebrating.
The Pride parade is now on display with visitors* in the day able to view the exhibit, alongside the guests at the adult themed night.
The Pride themed adult only night is on sale now for £15 per person and is available to book via the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre website here: https://www.legolanddiscoverycentre.com/
*Please note, adults must be accompanied by a child under 18 to visit in the daytime.
