SOLIHULL RESIDENTS INVITED TO GET THEIR MINDS & BODIES IN SHAPE WITH BID’S FREE RESOURCES

Solihull residents can beat the lockdown blues and get their minds and bodies in shape with free new dance choreography lessons and a virtual wellbeing portal.

The projects have been organised by Solihull BID – the Business Improvement District for the town centre – in conjunction with local companies.

The BID has teamed up with Dance Fitness Solihull to offer a free course of dance choreography lessons for the whole family.

The five-part series will teach you how to perform one of the biggest TikTok dance crazes of the past 12 months. All five videos will be featured on the BID’s Facebook page – https://www.facebook.com/SolihullBID.

As well as being fun to learn and keeping you active, you can also win free dance lessons and a £50 gift card for sending in a video of your dance once you’ve learnt the routine.

Individuals from across the borough can also enjoy free access to triONLINE Virtual Wellbeing throughout lockdown.

The portal includes exercise classes, motivational talks and mindfulness practices as well as cooking tutorials and advice on food.

To sign up for free access to a treasure trove of useful resources for health and wellbeing, head to the BID website – https://solihullbid.co.uk/emergestrongersolihull/.

Keeping your mind and body active and healthy has never been so important and the BID is hoping its latest initiatives will be well received by residents from across the borough.

Melanie Palmer, Chief Executive of Solihull BID, said: “The Covid-19 crisis has left a deep scar that has chipped away at our societal and economic backbone. We want to support the amazing community resilience out there in every way we can.

“Our website has a whole range of advice and guidance and I am excited to see the launch of the new fitness and wellbeing programmes. I hope you will join me and many others in a bit of fun in these dark days and attempt the TikTok routine!“

These new projects all form part of the BID’s support for the local community, as well as town centre companies.

Business owners and residents can visit the BID website for the latest on Covid-19 and how it is affecting Solihull.
