Solihull's Mell Square sees Launch of Everyman Barbers

One of the region’s fastest growing chain of barbers is delighted to be opening in Solihull.

Everyman – the ‘home of the modern man’, where customers are offered a free beer, the use of a PlayStation, and Sky Sports, while they wait for their haircut and grooming – already has successful salons in Birmingham, Leicester, Nottingham, and Derby in the Midlands, and another in Bristol.

But opening a salon in Solihull has been high on the agenda of Managing Director Noel Gilronan, who runs the company with his wife, Julie. It will be situated in Mell Square, in the town centre, and the Grand Opening is September 28, when visitors and passers-by will be welcome to pop by and stop by to join in the celebrations.

“We live just outside Solihull, and Julie was born and bred in the town, so opening an Everyman barbers on our own doorstep, so to speak, has been high up on our wish list for a long time,” said Mr Gilronan.

“As the Everyman brand has grown, and built up a flourishing reputation as a great place for men to go for a haircut and groom, Solihull seemed an obvious place for us – it’s a busy, thriving and lively environment, which totally reflects the Everyman image.”

Mr Gilronan said the appeal of an Everyman salon was the ‘consistently high standard of the haircuts’, customer banter with the barbers, and that they cater at all times for individual requirements of style and grooming.

He said: “We’ve kept many elements of a traditional barber shop, but we’ve modernised certain aspects to suit the needs of today’s men. We look after our customers from the moment they walk through the door, and make their visit an enjoyable experience.

“We have webcams so customers can check how busy we are before they head over to us, we’ve Sky Sports, PlayStations, the internet – and we’re also licensed to offer our customers a complimentary beer, on us, if they fancy it, or maybe a bottle of water, or a cup of tea or coffee if that’s what they prefer.

“We also stock a vast range of first class professional products, which add the final touches to an equally first-class experience.”

After Solihull, the Everyman brand will be spreading its wings further North, with another salon opening in Manchester later this year.
