The U.K.’s first online pharmacy providing a same-day delivery service, Phlo Digital Pharmacy (Phlo), has launched in Birmingham. Phlo initially launched its service in London in early 2020 and its second site in Birmingham is their first pharmacy outside of the capital.
Phlo’s on-demand, same-day delivery service combines 4-hour same-day delivery slots with regular updates and live tracking that provides patients with a safe, reliable and effortless online pharmacy experience.
Phlo is a registered NHS pharmacy, with pharmacy hubs in London and Birmingham. Phlo also provides a national mail order service, providing 24 and 48-hour delivery across the U.K. With 43% of adults in England on at least one repeat prescription and cases of, for example, asthma, being higher in Birmingham (6%) than nationally, Phlo’s user-friendly app saves patients time in ordering and managing their medication by liaising directly with the GP and sending reminder notifications when you are due to run out of your medication.
Phlo Digital Pharmacy empowers its patients to order and manage their medication through its website or mobile apps. Patients’ prescriptions are sent directly from their GP to Phlo via the Electronic Prescription Service. Phlo’s pharmacy then safely and securely dispenses and delivers their prescriptions for free in under 4 hours in their same-day delivery zone. The pharmacy process is fully trackable on a live map, from placing an order to a patient’s chosen delivery location, meaning commuters or those living rurally can order prescriptions to, for example, their office, for ease.
Since its launch in early 2020, Phlo has built a loyal patient base and its service is rated as 4.9/5 on Trustpilot. Phlo’s diverse patient base ranges from as young as 5 to 88 years old. Phlo’s patients can speak to their experienced pharmacy team via phone, email or live chat.
