Western Park’s Much-loved Pop-up Pub Will Be Returning This April!

After a two-year wait due to the pandemic, the spring event is the start of what should be a good year for beer, with the popular Western Park Beer Festival (WPBF) also planned for September.

As usual, there will be a wide range of cask and keg beers, wine, prosecco, ciders as well as snacks at the Pop-up Pub event – with funds raised going to three local Leicester charities (B-Inspired, Home Start Horizons and The Laura Centre).

The event, run by the WPBF committee, takes place on Friday April 29, 5pm-midnight, at St Anne’s Church and Community Hall, Letchworth Road, Western Park, Leicester LE3 6FN with free entry. Over 18s only.

Over the past few years, the volunteer-run events have helped to raise tens of thousands of pounds for local charities.

WPBF chairman Jonathan Briggs said: “After a tough couple of years for everyone, it is great to welcome people back. Our events have proved very popular in Western Park and beyond and we want people to come along, enjoy a drink or two and raise plenty of money for charity.”

Payments will be card only.

Once the dust has settled on the Pop-up Pub event, the committee will get to work on its annual two-day festival in September.

Businesses are being invited to offer sponsorship for the event.
