Local parent-led charity, Alex’s Wish, are looking for brave volunteers to sign-up and take part in Sky Dive Sunday!
Zoe Edwards, Fundraising and Marketing Manager at Alex’s Wish, said, “Our Skydiving Experiences have always been popular and I can’t wait for this event to take place on Sunday the 21st August – though I’ll be keeping my feed very firmly on the ground for this one!
“Those who are jumping will be stepped through a short pre-jump briefing before experiencing the thrill of freefall from 13,000 feet. Our jumpers will even learn the basics of steering and landing a modern ‘square’ gliding parachute, all whilst securely attached to a highly experienced instructor, of course!”
Trustee Glynis Wright MBE, family law partner and solicitor at Nelsons, has experienced the thrill of a skydive herself and commented on the experience saying, “It was truly one of the best things I’ve ever done in my life – terrifying but brilliant! I raised over £4,000 and teased potential sponsors saying who wouldn’t like to see a lawyer jump out of a plane?! The rouse worked and Alex’s Wish were one of the beneficiaries. I’d say don’t think about it, do it!”
