CHAMBERS’ CONFERENCE AIMS TO HELP BUSINESSES ADAPT TO DISRUPTION

East Midlands Chamber is hosting a day of workshops to help businesses adapt to ongoing disruption.

The Chamber Day of Resilience conference will aim to equip companies with the tools to remain agile following the end of the UK-EU transition period and every-changing nature of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Taking place on Friday 12 February, the free online event will focus on areas such as cyber resilience, personal resilience, managing risk and personal financial resilience.

It marks an evolution of the Business Readiness for Change programme that was run throughout the 2020 transition period, culminating in the Brexit Conference in November.

East Midlands Chamber chief executive Scott Knowles said: “Times of change bring with them both challenge and opportunity.

“Following a year in which businesses were challenged in ways that many had never before experienced, the Chamber Day of Resilience will focus on supporting members with the practical skills, tools and knowledge required to make a success of the coming 12 months.

“Spread across a number of individual bite-sized workshops, attendees will gain an insight into how they can best prepare their own businesses in different areas of operation.”

The Chamber Day of Resilience will take place from 9am to 2.30pm and speakers include representatives from Chamber strategic partners and patrons such as Air IT, Aston Lark, Purpose Media and RSM.

Activities will run throughout the day, with attendees asked to book individual sessions online.
