Award-winning broadcaster and journalist Colin Murray has been announced as host for this year’s Birmingham Young Professional of the Year (BYPY) awards, taking place on Thursday 18th May at the ICC.
The three-time Sony Gold winning radio and television presenter, who is known for shows on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 5 Live, Channel 4 and talkSPORT, will be taking to the stage to guide finalists and guests through the awards, and hand over the highly-coveted title of Birmingham’s 17th Young Professional of the Year.
Murray, who writes a weekly column for the Metro newspaper, will be joined by Sir John Peace, chair of the BYPY Judging Panel, and hundreds of members of the city’s business professional services sector as it comes together to celebrate its finest young talent.
Awards are spread across six categories: Finance; HR, Recruitment and Training; Legal; Marketing and Communications; Property and Construction; and Technology, with one category winner taking the overall title of BYPY 2017.
This year, the overall BYPY winner will receive an Executive MBA from Aston University worth £20,000.
BPS Birmingham Future’s flagship event, BYPY also recognises a standout individual aged between 16 and 24 in the Aspiring Talent category, as well as an Inspiring Leader, someone that has shown unwavering commitment to the city.
