FEMALE CHAMPIONS OF DISABILITY AND LGBTIA+ RECOGNISED

When it comes to giving recognition to the contribution of women the Women’s Awards are ahead of the curve.  This is no more apparent than taking a look at the number of sectors and communities these prestigious awards celebrate. This year the bar is raised even higher.

“Two years ago, we added awards to recognise and celebrate the work of women in Education, Care Services and Senior Executive levels.  These were well received.  So, it gives me great pleasure in announcing today the addition of two new awards.  The Outstanding Female Disability Champion Award and the Outstanding Female LGBTIA+ Champion Awards.

Gender equality remains an important issue, and we will continue to play our part in raising its awareness, working with and supporting individuals and organisations who are serious about changing things to ensure fairness for all.”  Sandra Pollock OBE, Founder of the Women’s Awards.

Nominations for the Women’s Awards 2021 are open now.
