Leicester’s local charity, LOROS, is delighted to announce that its family fun day, the Big Day Out, is back!
Their Big Day Out is back on Sunday 4th September, 10am – 4pm. It comes after a two-year absence due to COVID. The charity is inviting supporters, volunteers and friends to join in the fun. There is a range of food and craft stalls, games and activities, with something for everybody to enjoy.
LOROS Hospice is a local charity which cares for more than 2,500 people across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland every year. They provide free, high-quality, compassionate care and support to terminally ill adult patients, their families and carers. LOROS relies on the support of the local community and businesses in order to raise a vital £6 million of funds needed.
LOROS’ beautiful Hospice grounds will host outdoor games, bouncy castles and go-karting experiences. Children can ride on a mini fire engine and come face-to-face with adorable fluffy alpacas.
More activities to keep the children entertained include face painting, welly-wanging, hook a duck, penalty shootout and much more, there’s plenty to keep the kids entertained. Tempt your appetite with plenty of food stalls in attendance. Crepes, samosas, fish and chips and of course, an ice cream van are just a flavour of what you can expect!
There’s no need to book – just turn up on the day!
There is no parking available onsite at the Hospice for the event. However, there is parking nearby for those requiring it. You can use the car park next to Gilros cemetery, postcode LE3 9QG. It is a 5-minute walk from the Hospice.
