Feast Hinckley, Food and Drink Festival Returns This Bank Holiday Weekend.

Feast Hinckley returns on the May bank holiday 27-29th May from 10am until 4pm. The format has grown from its successful inception in 2016, expanding from Market Place to include Castle Street and Argents Mead.

The food lovers event will offer demonstrations from chefs in a special demo kitchen in Argents Mead along with free musical entertainment and plenty of activities to keep children happy along with a huge array of delicious foods and drinks to tempt every palate.

Hinckley’s Market traders and farmer’s market traders have also come out to support this year’s Feast in what is of the Feasts central aims, to support and promote local businesses to benefit for the increased profile and trading opportunities.

The success of the original Feast has meant applications from some excellent street food traders and mobile bars from across the country and the locality. The 2017 Feast has been well supported by the town’s bars and restaurants all of which are listed below.


Coffee Rio – The Coffee Shop provides it’s own Roasted Coffee, Fresh Home Made Food and Cakes. It is a lovely friendly place to visit. The staff are friendly and polite and always ensure that customers enjoy their visit to Coffee Rio.

Ponchinellos – Hinckley’s original and only authentic Italian owned pizza and pasta takeaway

Elbow Room – Passionate about beer, we offer an ever changing range of real ales from UK microbreweries, so you’ll discover new tastes on every visit, bottled craft beers, whiskey, wines, speciality gins, locally sourced pork pies and more.
FAB – FAB, stands for ‘food at best’, will bring a fusion of ‘delicious, quality’ noodle and rice dishes ,breakfast and lunch menu to the Feast.


Rossini Ristorante, offers traditional and contemporary Italian food in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The perfect Italian restaurant to enjoy relaxed, sophisticated surroundings with the taste of true Italian cuisine. Simply the best italian restaurant in Hinckley, Leicestershire.

The Tipple Truck, the UK’s only Fire Engine bar where you can pour your own drinks. The Tipple Truck is a big red Fire Engine, lovingly converted into a mobile, six tap bar. Promoting amazingly good craft beer and sparkling wines. Their awesome cellar man tirelessly scours the country for new brews to tickle their taste buds (it’s a hard job…). They showcase microbreweries close by and will be bringing beers from local Leicester micro-brewery Framework to the Feast, alongside many other tantalising tipples.

The Ginger Barista – Retro Citroen HY Van selling speciality coffees, teas, hot chocolates and a variety of cakes at events, markets, fairs and festivals. We use 100% arabica fairtrade beans and all coffee cups are 100% compostable.
Hetties Homemade -Artisan producer of Jams, Chutneys, Pickles and Preserves. Handmade Fudge and sweet treats.
Homemade by Linda jubilant Aspire Winner 2015 award for their scrumptious cakes and bakes and the Shires Magazine tried and tested Cake Specialists award. March 2017 interviewed by Radio Leicester for ‘cottage industries’. All orders are freshly made, carefully wrapped and delivered in a stylish reusable tin. Beth Bakes is a small cake and cupcake selling business filled with homemade goodness and love based in Barwell, near Hinckley.

Taste d’Vibez Jerk Chicken, Curried mutton rice and peas, fish, dumplings, patties, cocktails , we sell Caribbean food including jerk chicken, rum and fruit punch served in pineapples and jelly coconuts, as a novel way of being kind to the environment. We also encourage people to refill their vessels for a discounted drink. We are currently looking into the possibility of serving food in coconut shells.

Savannah Catering provide the top quality gourmet burgers and take real care about their ingredients. Their evet popular foot long sausages are coming to Feast as are their range of gourmet burgers. Try the venison, pork apple & chorizo or go native and get yourself the mighty texan burger.

Fowlers Forest Dairies are the oldest cheese making family business in England and are continuing the traditions of handcrafted cheeses at the dairy in the leafy pastures of Earlswood. The same care and traditional skills used in Debryshire and handed down since before 1840 to the 14th generation are producing our Gold and Silver award winning cheeses today.Fowlers take pride in their environment and animal welfare standards. Most of their cheeses are suitable for vegetarians and are G.M.O. free.

Richi Blues are headed by Richard Cleugh – a professional freelance chef of 8 years. Based in Nottingham, Richi Blues is a marinated meat specialist operating out of a brand new purpose built catering trailer offering a selection of freshly prepared meats, marinated for at least 24 hours and cooked onsite on a chargrill burner.

Springfield catering will be bringing their handmade produce produce, which is additive and gluten free chutneys, jams, marmalades, mustards and pestos.

Elev8 Mobile Bars will be bringing their branded Pimms and Gin bars to quench our summer thirst
