£7,000,000 Sales In First Year: Anniversary Celebrations For Oliver Rayns

Independent estate and letting agency Oliver Rayns, is celebrating its first anniversary this summer and is already making huge advances on the Leicester property market by securing sales on combined property values of £7,000,000 and tenanted over 100 homes with 250 plus tenants in just a year.

Setting up a new business takes not only confidence in your skills, but also a passion to offer something different and better, something that agency founder Oliver Rayns was keen to ensure. “With such a broad
spectrum of agents throughout the area, to stand out is key, especially as a new start up where you have the extra challenge of building a strong reputation, so clients know you are trustworthy and knowledgeable within your field” said Oliver. “Despite other, more
established estate agents already being known within Leicestershire, in just a year the Oliver Rayns brand is being spoken about with the same respect, which is something the whole team is incredibly proud of.”

From a cold start, the company has managed to attract a significant number of clients, including regional housebuilders, large corporate landlords as well as homeowners looking at upsizing and downsizing. Starting with just two people, we have expanded to a team of five, and are looking to take on further staff over the next few months to handle the demand and business growth.

“After having worked for another agency for several years and learnt my trade, I knew there were things I wanted to do differently and didn’t have the opportunity to. As time went on these thoughts kept popping into my head, so I decided to take the plunge find business premises and go it alone.”

In recent months, the evidence of the successful business performance of Oliver Rayns is clear. The company has managed to not only sell the
majority of homes they have marketed in under a fortnight, some even were sold in just a few days.

“It has not only grown far quicker than I could have anticipated or imagined, but I have managed to attract clients from across the UK, selling houses in Market Harborough in the South to Rothley and Queniborough in the North. We’ve really expanded to cover the whole county.”

They pride themselves on being a selling agent and not just one that wants to have the most listings. Oliver himself believes that a good agent should be judged not only on how many properties they have on the books, but also how many they have underoffer.

This success is more than sustainable in the long term for Oliver Rayns, and growth is already on the cards for this business within Leicestershire and beyond with Oliver looking to double the company in size over the next twelve months.

“We have plenty of plans for the next three years. We are currently looking for a property, so we can open our second branch. But location is key, and we are waiting to find the exact position for us to be within such a competitive market. I have had my heart set on one or two potential office spaces, but we need to continue to establish practices and procedures to ensure that I can work between both and still offer clients the service they require and deserve.”
