With a generous donation of £250, McCarthy Stone have demonstrated their ethos of championing the role, wellbeing and happiness of older people in society by supporting Age UK Leicestershire & Rutland with their latest fundraising campaign in collaboration with Pukka.
With a more positive outlook for the future, Age UK Leicestershire & Rutland are keen to re-establish those close family bonds that have been missing for such a long time. The charity continues to help those who have been isolated and fearful for more than a year to re-engage with their families, communities and support networks.
National Grandparents’ Day (Sunday 3rd October) was a poignant milestone for many families but for so many more it was also a welcome opportunity to sit together around a table once again and enjoy the company of wonderful older relatives and friends.

“The campaign by Pukka and Age UK Leicester Shire & Rutland will help to combat loneliness among elderly people in the local community, which is more important now than ever after the difficult 18 months we’ve all experienced. It was our pleasure to present this donation to such a deserving cause.”
