Be Quick! Last Chance to Submit Your Event for Leicester Business Festival

This year’s Festival, headline sponsored by Leicester Castle Business School, De Montfort University (DMU), takes place from 28 October to 8 November.

Some 100 events are expected to be part of the programme, which is already looking in great shape with many applications already received

Being part of the Business Festival is an incredible opportunity to demonstrate skills, products and services to a national and international audience.

Events can take any shape from a small workshop or seminar to a trade show or conference and anyone can apply.

Leicester City Council and Leicestershire County Council intend to use this year’s festival to launch a brand new strategy that outlines how the area intends to compete as a 21st century tourist destination. The City Mayor, Visit Britain and speakers from top local tourist attractions, including Sharon Redrobe, CEO of Twycross Zoo and Chair of the Tourism Advisory Board who helped shape the plan, will outline how the tourism landscape is changing and how Leicester and Leicestershire are preparing for the years ahead by embracing new trends and opportunities.

Scott Charlish, head of East Midlands financial planning at Brewin Dolphin and chair of the Business Festival Steering Group said, “We are already seeing a really terrific Festival programme coming together with some exceptional headline events ranging from national conferences and economic showcases to really useful sector-based events.

“We’re looking for quality events of all descriptions, that are not only highly beneficial to the people that attend, but put the outstanding strengths of the Leicester and Leicestershire business community in the spotlight, helping to raise its profile and make it a desirable location for businesses to explore and invest in.”
