BLACK HORSE KEEPS LAUGHTER IN LEICESTER OVER LOCKDOWN

Aylestone’s The Black Horse have kept Leicester laughing during the extended lockdown with their weekly Giggles in the Garden events, converting their spacious beer garden into an al fresco comedy club, complete with covered private dining pods and socially distanced tables. The pub only allows ticket holders entry on Monday evenings from 5.30pm, with the homely pub grub menu available for 90 minutes before curtain up and of course everyone is out by 10pm.

A little bit of drizzle this week certainly didn’t dampen spirits when guests were treated to a live performance from award winning comedian and Strictly Come Dancing star Seann Walsh. It was yet another sold out week, and Seann was following in the footsteps of Live At The Apollo’s Nathan Caton and Tom Binns in his persona as Hospital Radio DJ Ivan Brackenbury.

Big name gigs on Monday nights throughout the rest of October are already close to sold out as comedy fans book up the limited tickets, desperate to enjoy a little light relief.
