On the 19th February at 9pm, for one night only! Mandy Tootill will be bringing her sell out show “Twin Peaks” to Upstairs at the Western as part of Leicester Comedy Festival.
Twin Peaks is an honest and uplifting story about an idiots journey through breast cancer and how she copes when faced with her own mortality. After all…….Laughter really is the breast medicine.
From sexual encounters wearing Marigolds to a mannequins head called Celine, Mandy shares with us her experiences in her own unique way. “Cancer is a bit like Voldermort, people are frightened to speak the very name itself, but by using humour, I break down these barriers by making people laugh”. Mandy is an idiot. Affectionately known as a nob. She started her comedy career in 2014 at the Women in Comedy Festival and has been making people spit their drinks out with laughter ever since. People laugh at her warm Wigan wit and at her face. Mandy is also one half of comedy duo Toots & Leigh who produce and host Titters and Tassels burlesque and comedy show in Manchester.
Mandy has been getting her Twin Peaks out all over the place including Buxton Fringe, Mcr Fringe, LFEST, Homotopia Festival and is looking forward to getting them out at Leicester Comedy Festival. Having ran every February since 1994, Leicester Comedy Festival is the longest running comedy festival in the UK.
