Dine in the Dark! Immersive Sensory Dining Experience Lands at National Space Centre

Prepare to be surprised, shocked and inspired, as you take your seat in the heart of the the National Space Centre for a journey like no other.

On 28th September, an immersive sensory dining experience is coming to Leicester, the RNIB and the centre are hosting a journey through the senses, except one!

Enjoy a wine tasting experience, five course tasting menu and guided tour of the National Space Centre without the use of sight. Prepare to be surprised, shocked and inspired, as you take your seat in the heart of the museum for a journey like no other.

Humans have five senses: the eyes to see, the tongue to taste, the nose to smell, the ears to hear, and the skin to touch. By far the most important organs of sense are our eyes. We perceive up to 80 per cent of all impressions by means of our sight. Without our sight our other senses are heightened, so we have created a science driven tasting menu to bombard every sense, including your understanding of what we eat and why.

Visually impaired table hosts will stimulate debate and help you every step of the way (even finding your way to the table).

Working with local producers and makers,  a five-course tasting menu has been carefully created to challenges your senses. The menu will remain a surprise, however, dietary requirements will be catered for.

Tickets cost £70 per adult (18+ only) and include wine tasting, five course tasting menu, and entry to the National Space Centre (including galleries).

All monies raised on the night will go to charity.

Buying a ticket will support both the RNIB and National Space Centre charities.
