One of the most popular spots for dog walkers is Foxton Locks. It has a welcoming environment for owners and their pups. Based at the bottom locks, the Inn allows pets in both the bar and on the terrace, with water bowls and free doggie treats available. Similarly, there are around 70 acres of beautiful green space that you can explore at Everards Meadows. They also have a dog-friendly Beer Hall and shop.

One of the county’s most recognizable venues, Belvoir Castle, plays host to Dog Fest. The nation’s favourite dog-friendly festival takes place in June each year. Year-round, well-behaved dogs are welcome throughout the garden and park, with doggy drinking stations available at the Engine Yard. Wistow is home to some beautiful walks and is a hotspot for dog walkers. Rural Centre is a great stop off for a drink and a bite to eat, with its dog-friendly all-weather conservatory area. Pups are welcome in most of the shops too, especially Inner Wolf, the leading UK supplier of outdoor gear for dogs!
