After a brief hiatus, one of Leicester’s favourite dining destinations has made a stylish comeback. Bill’s Restaurant has reopened at Highcross Leicester’s St Peter’s Square, bringing its signature blend of seasonal comfort food, relaxed vibes, and fresh interiors back to the city’s buzzing culinary scene.
First founded in 2001 by greengrocer Bill Collison, Bill’s Restaurant chain has grown from a small café into a much-loved national brand. Its return to Leicester, today, signals an optimistic new chapter for the popular eatery and a boost for the city’s growing hospitality scene.
The original Leicester branch closed in late 2022, part of the brand’s wider post-Covid restructuring. Now, with its doors open once again, Bill’s return to the heart of St. Peter’s Square marks an important milestone in the ongoing refresh of one of the city’s popular dining and leisure hot spots, which recently welcomed Maki & Ramen to its line-up.
Step inside the new-look Bill’s and you’ll find all the warmth and character the brand is known for, with a few updated touches. The redesigned space includes a stylish restaurant, cosy bar, open terrace, and relaxed seating area- ideal whether you’re grabbing brunch with friends or settling in for dinner and cocktails.
Bill’s remains true to its roots as their menu celebrates fresh and seasonal ingredients, offering everything from breakfasts and brunches, such as its famous pancakes, to vibrant lunches and dinners, including much-loved dishes like its classic burgers and fish and chips.
To celebrate the reopening, diners who sign up to the Bill’s newsletter will receive 20% off their next meal.
