Engine Yard Celebrated With Free Annual Pass For Visitors To Belvoir Castle

Belvoir Castle has today announced a new Annual Pass which enables visitors to enjoy the Estate for 12 months, when just paying once.

To celebrate the launch of the Engine Yard retail development, the Duke and Duchess of Rutland is offering visitors who buy a Castle and Garden ticket (either online or at the ticket office) a Pass granting unlimited subsequent free access to the Castle and Gardens for the next year.

With the Engine Yard development due to officially launch on 2nd September, the Annual Pass provides another great reason for families and visitors to spend a day at Belvoir Castle.

Sitting just outside the entrance to the Castle, the Engine Yard is free for visitors and will host the Idle Mole plant centre, butcher and farm shop The County Victualler, homewares retailer Margo and Plum, coffee supplier Cherizena, chocolatier Cocoa Amore, Jorge Artisan Foods, Belvoir Casa Spa, Crafts4Kids, the Duchess’ Gallery, the Fuel Tank café and, the gin bar, 45 West.

Her Grace the Duchess of Rutland, CEO of Belvoir Castle, explained the reasoning behind the launch of the Annual Pass. She said:

“It’s an exciting time at the Castle, as we look ahead to the official launch of the Engine Yard, we’re delighted to invite visitors back to enjoy the Estate for the next year. We’re always working hard to ensure that we offer a great value day out for those in the local community as well as visitors from further afield.

“The Engine Yard has enjoyed a great response since stores began to open back in May and the Pass has provided yet another perfect reason to enjoy a day at Belvoir Castle.”

The official launch of the Engine Yard on 2 September will feature cooking demonstrations from leading chefs including Rachael Green, performances from musicians and entertainers, a pop-up gin wagon by Leicester bar and bottle shop, 45 West, as well as a VIP appearance from actress and model, Liz Hurley.

The launch will also host the first of the Engine Yard’s ‘Countryside Corner’ events, where those with a passion for the country can take part in talks, debates and explore areas of interest.
