Everards On Lookout For Ambitious Pub Talent To Take On Two Country Pubs in Leicestershire

Everards

Leicestershire based family brewers, Everards, is on the lookout for ambitious pub talent to take the reins of two of their most popular country pubs in the county. The two opportunities are perfect for individuals or couples looking to run their own pub business, but with the backing and support of Everards, which began brewing in Leicestershire in 1849 and now boasts over 170 tenanted pubs across Leicestershire.

The Coach & Horses, Lubenham, Market Harborough

Everards

The Coach & Horses venue is located in the beautiful and historic Lubenham, a medieval village cited in the Domesday Book, which is a stone’s throw from the commuter-friendly and bustling market town of Market Harborough.  The village offers a historic church, playground, primary school and is home to the annual Scarecrow festival.  It is also a popular pitstop for cyclists.

This family pub sits at the heart of the Lubenham community, is well regarded for its tasty pub food, outside drinking and dining, children’s play area, and even boasts its own outside smokehouse.

The Coach & Horses is consistently in the Top 5 restaurants on TripAdvisor and is run as an independent business, with the backing of Everards and their 172 years of experience, so this should be viewed as an exceptional opportunity for ambitious operators with a passion for food to carve out their own business within this historic building.

There will be an informal open day at the pub on Monday 20th June between 3pm and 8pm for anyone interested in finding out more about the pub or the industry in general. To reserve a space please contact Aarti Tailor at Everards on 07894 093978, or by emailing [email protected]

The Soar Bridge Inn, Barrow upon Soar

Everards

The Soar Bridge Inn is in the beautiful and historic Barrow upon Soar, one of the jewels of the Charnwood Forest.  Not only is it footsteps from the Grand Union canal, it’s home to the skeletal remains of Barrow’s own dinosaur: affectionately named the Barrow Kipper.  The village itself has a bustling and well-appointed High Street.

This family pub, which sits at the heart of the Barrow community, was originally called The Railway and was built in the Victorian age – the period of the steam train.  Records show it has also been a hostel for boatmen using the nearby Grand Union canal network.  Nowadays, it is a well-loved pub offering tasty pub grub, a wide range of ales and beers and boasts, among other things, its own bowling alley!

The Soar Bridge Inn pub runs as an independent business, with the backing of Everards and their 172 years of experience, so this should be viewed as an exceptional opportunity for individuals or couples to create their own business within this historic building, effectively making you the skipper in the village of the Kipper.

If this sounds like you – or someone you know – you are urged to get in touch with Louisa Golightly at Everards on 07885 268740, or by emailing [email protected] to discuss in more detail.
