Fosse Park is giving local musicians and buskers the chance to entertain its shoppers and diners as part of a packed calendar of events planned for the summer. Family-friendly performers are invited to apply for a spot in a specially created performance area, entertaining visitors at the popular retail and leisure destination.
The custom performance area will be situated in the space between popular dining destinations Volpo Lounge and Zizzi in the Food Central area, with a number of scheduled slots available to suitable musicians. The chosen acts will headline Fosse’s calendar of events with artist bios added to the Fosse Park website, as well as some acts being promoted through the Shopping Park’s popular social media channels.
To be in with a chance of filling the malls with the sound of live music this summer, buskers and artists that are sure to get toes tapping are asked to send clips of their performance as well as any information about themselves and their act to [email protected] by Friday 29th July.
Adrian Young, Centre Manager at Fosse Park, said “Fosse Park is a popular destination for families over the summer months, so we want to make sure there’s lots to keep the whole family entertained. Alongside our Fox Trail, and a calendar of events and activities we know that live music will be a great way to lift people’s spirits.
“It is also a fantastic opportunity to highlight the talented musical artists in the Leicester area and give them a chance to busk for the numerous shoppers and diners that visit us from far and wide. We’re hoping for family friendly acts who play covers of well-known songs and we can’t wait to see people singing along in the sunshine!”
