The Hope Charity Opera Gala (which takes place on 1st December) will raise funds for cutting-edge cancer research in the area.
Hope Against Cancer’s clinical trials have been made available to local people through their work. They work in partnership with local universities and hospitals to make sure that Leicestershire is a hub of expertise in cancer research and treatment. We have funded over 60 research projects tackling many different forms of cancer since they started in 2003.
The Hope Charity Opera Gala will take place in the elegant and intimate surroundings of Lumbers’. Lumbers is a well-renowned jeweller on Leicester’s high street. The music will be brought alive at your table during the evening.
Tickets, which are priced at £90, will include a charity auction too. Once you arrive for a welcome drink, there will be an opportunity to browse Lumber’s stunning jewellery collection. People will be able to take expert advice for Christmas gifts. Afterwards, you will enjoy a 3-course meal interspersed with opera classics sung by Leicester-born and raised mezzo-soprano, Rozanna Madylus, joined by four other rising stars in the industry. Rozaa are Julieth Lozano, Alex Aldren, Ross Ramgobin, and Chad Vindin.
Rozanna’s previous opera events, organised after her mother’s secondary breast cancer diagnosis, were a great success. This one shall carry even more significance for her as her mother devastatingly lost her battle with cancer in January 2021.
Tickets are now available to book here: https://www.hopeagainstcancer.org.uk/opera-evening22
Hope Against Cancer recently won an award for County Charity of the Year at the Val Awards.
