Bike for Hope: An Exhilarating Cycle Ride for Local Charity

Hope Against Cancer is Leicester’s local cancer research charity. They provide grants to fund the continued development of Leicester’s oncology expertise, and give local cancer patients access to places on life-saving medical research trials, along with the tailored support of a dedicated Hope nurse.

Now, they want YOU to join an exhilarating 60 mile or 60km cycle around the beautiful Leicestershire countryside on the 8th of August 2021, so they can continue working to beat cancer.

Your ride entry fee includes:
  • A professional warm up from The Fitness Works gym
  • A refreshment stop with delicious cakes
  • The chance to stretch out with a cool down yoga session from Love Yoga Leicester

Everyone taking part commits to raise at least £30 in sponsorship, and everyone who raises over £100 gets a FREE Hope cycle jersey, sponsored by Phillips Sutton.

Please sign up here to view the route and to secure your place – numbers are limited!

On the day, the sustainable transport app, BetterPoints, will be helping us to fundraise by donating 500 points, worth 50p, to Hope Against Cancer, and 500 points into the personal account of every user who registers at least a 10 mile cycle from the Countesthorpe starting point.

All Leicestershire residents can sign up to the scheme here and donate the points they generate from all their sustainable travel to Hope Against Cancer.

By completing this year’s bike ride – and raising lots of sponsorship! – you are making an incredible contribution to local, life changing cancer research.
