2023 seems like a way away right now but Leicester Comedy Festival will be here again before we know it!
Today Big Difference has announced news for next year’s Leicester Comedy Festival. It will run from 8-26 February 2023 and their 30th-year anniversary too so it is set to be a big one!
Last year’s festival featured over 560 shows, over 800 performances and 64 venues. Europe’s biggest and longest-running comedy festival has today announced the first shows to go on sale ahead of next year’s event. February 2023 will also mark five years of The UK Kids’ Comedy Festival too!
Every year, Leicester Comedy Festival holds hundreds of shows in venues, pubs, bars and every nook and cranny of the city and country. The first shows to go on sale include Mike Bubbins, Sophie Ducker: Hag, Rob Auton: The Crowd Show, Daddy Self-Care: The Big Preview, The Gala Preview Show and The UK Pun Championships.

Get involved in Leicester Comedy Festival 2023!
In celebration of the Comedy Festival’s 30-year anniversary, Big Difference wants you to get involved. They’re looking for anecdotes, stories, pictures and personal accounts from those who have attended, volunteered or worked at the festivals – over the past 30 years. They’d love to hear your fond memories of the festival.
As previously announced, this will be the last festival for Geoff Rowe. He founded the festival and will be stepping down from his role after the event.
He said that “Leicester Comedy Festival has grown enormously since we set it up in 1994, and I’m enormously proud that we will be celebrating the festival’s 30th anniversary in February. We will welcome hundreds of comedians, to perform on many stages, and a massive audience who will be able to enjoy some of the best of British comedy”.
