Barely a year after opening, Leicester’s Delilah Fine Foods has been crowned UK’s Best Retail Shop 2017, at the prestigious Great Taste Awards.
The award comes soon after the shop, in Leicester’s St Martins district, won UK Deli of the Year at April’s Farm Shop and Deli Awards AND a listing in The Good Food Guide
Receiving the award, owner Sangita Tryner said the award was “a credit to the Leicester store team, and the region as a whole. The East Midlands is not first when most people think of fine food but the award shows just how vibrant the region is”
The award follows Delilah’s Nottingham store winning the same Great Taste Award in 2012 and the Good Food Guide ‘Local Gem’ award more recently.
