Make A Date With Leicester This Valentine’s Day

Leicester City Council has launched a Valentine’s Day campaign with a difference this February, encouraging people to get out and explore the city to find their Perfect Match – but not in the way you might think.

As part of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) Welcome Back campaign, “Make a Date with Leicester” encourages people to reclaim Valentine’s Day for everyone, no matter what your relationship status is, and celebrates all the fantastic things on offer throughout the city centre.

Whether that’s a romantic date night with your better half, taking your family out for a special day together, brunch with your besties or even having some quality time alone to pamper yourself – whoever you are spending the day with, you’ll find your Perfect Match in Leicester.

A new landing page on the Visit Leicester website will guide visitors through a choice of great activities depending on how they choose to spend their February 14th. There are suggestions for a range of interests and ages as well as events, shopping tips and deals, showcasing just how much local businesses in Leicester have to offer this Valentine’s.

The campaign, which will be running across social media in the run-up to Valentine’s Day, will sit alongside a fantastic competition which will give one lucky person the chance to win a Valentine’s break in the city centre. Enjoy a romantic overnight stay at The Gresham, with a meal for two included at Black Iron Social. There’s also breakfast for two at Esquires Coffee, a £50 Leicester Gift Card to spend in some of Leicester’s best independents and a £50 e-gift voucher to visit Treetop Adventure Golf. The prize is valid for three months so there’s plenty of time for the lucky winner to book in and take advantage of this short break.
