Midlands Food and Drink producers have swept the board at this year’s Great Taste awards with 381 businesses being awards the highly prized Great Taste accolade.
Among the Great Taste Midlands winners are Droitwich Salted Caramel from #nom in Bromsgrove, made using a brine salt extracted from beneath Droitwich town and double cream from a nearby dairy; Oakchurch Raspberry Sorbet from Oakchurch Farm Shop in Staunton-on-Wye and the 3-year matured Fletchers 1802 Vintage Cider from Fletchers Cider in Far Forest, Worcestershire.
This year’s winners have been found through a combination of remote judging and socially distanced judging sessions, after the lockdown began just one week into the schedule.
