Thanks to a panel of mystery shopper the National Space Centre has been awarded the title Best Large Visitor Attraction in the Fabulous Things to Do category in the Tourism and Hospitality Awards 2018.
The awards, hosted by Leicestershire Promotions at the historic Athena venue, saw over 570 people attend a glittering celebration of Rio. Guests were treated to fabulous entertainment including tightrope walking, trapeze, flying hoop, contortion, fire and acro-balance.
Over 100 tourism businesses reached the final of this year’s Awards, so competition was high for the 22 awards.
Malika Andress, Head of Marketing, at the National Space Centre, said: “We’re delighted to win this award. With so many amazing attractions, showcasing the amazing diversity of what Leicestershire has to offer, we are honoured to be the best for 2018. A huge thank you must go to our whole team who work extremely hard to provide a great experience for all our visitors.”
The National Space Centre were also commended in the most Innovative Business Tourism Partner category.
