De Montfort Hall has announced its stars for the postponed production of Sleeping Beauty.

Coronation Street actress Wendi Peters will be starring in the pantomime which will also see X Factor winner and Sam Bailey return along with panto favourite Martin Ballard.

The traditional Christmas pantomime was due to open at the hall this month, but has been postponed until next year due to Covid-19.

Sleeping Beauty will instead be staged in December 2021 – and tickets that have already been purchased will automatically transfer to the new dates.

Antony Flint, Venue Director, said: “We are very excited to welcome Wendi Peters to our pantomime production next year. She will be a brilliant addition to the cast and a treat for Coronation Street fans. We are also really looking forward to bringing Sam Bailey and Martin Ballard back to the show for another year.

“We may have missed out on panto this Christmas but we are determined that 2021 will be a fantastic show – bigger and better than before. We cannot wait to welcome people back into the auditorium again for some magical live entertainment.”

Sleeping Beauty will run at De Montfort Hall from Saturday 11 December 2021 to Monday 3 January 2022.
