Some of the much-loved animals at Twycross Zoo have been celebrating Easter early by tucking in to some of their very own Easter eggs, courtesy of their loving keepers!
The towering residents of Giraffe Savannah browsed happily on an Easter egg (just the right size for a giraffe!) stuffed with their favourite haylage.
The giants weren’t the only ones to fill their tummies with tasty goodies as the midland zoo’s snow leopards were fascinated by the new and interesting scent that was rubbed over their Twycross Zoo-themed Easter egg.
From Christmas trees in the Winter to ice treats in the Summer, the zoo uses enrichment all year round as a way of encouraging natural behaviours such as foraging and offering animals choice and novelty by exciting their five senses.
Until Sunday 28th April families can take advantage of a crackin’ Easter offer with admission prices only £5.50* per child and £11* per adult – an egg-cellent and affordable day out for all!
