Planning a majestic way can be pricey, but it doesn’t have to be. With careful research, planning in advance and by following some of our top tips, you can achieve your majestic vision for a great price. Here’s how:
DIY Designing: If you’re handy with a bit of hot glue and glitter, it may be worth doing some DIY bits to save some cash if you’re working towards majestic on a budget! There’s a whole host of fantastic DIY wedding ideas available online via Pinterest, so take a look and gather together some of your nearest and dearest to help you out. DIY always adds such a personal touch to a big day too!
Buying Second-hand: It’s 2021/2022 and buying second-hand has massively risen in popularity. It’s cheaper (usually), fun and eco-friendly – what’s not to love! So, if you’re working towards an expensive vision on a budget, give thrifting or buying second-hand a try. There are tons of stunning wedding wear available second-hand online, and you could even try thrifting for bits of décor or outfits for your bridal party. Facebook Marketplace is also a great cost-effective alternative to buying your bits and bobs first-hand!
Borrow From Your Friends and Family: You know the saying: something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue: well, we bet you could find something majestic from your nearest and dearest to borrow and use for your big day. Reach out to your friends and family to see if any of them have anything that could help you (it may only be some bits for DIY project, but any little helps) and we’re sure they won’t be able to say no!
Budget Wedding Venues: Arguably one of the best ways to save money on a majestic, themed wedding is to get a great deal with a budget wedding venue that already has a majestic vibe (we’re thinking castles and stately homes). Most wedding venues provide their customers with special offers and discounts as a way for them to book their wedding there, despite planning on a budget. And we’re sure that if you REALLY wanted to book somewhere, the planning team would be happy to liaise a price that you’re both happy with. So, it’s worth a try!
Renting Décor and Outfits: Just like buying second-hand, renting your décor and outfits is a fantastic way to save a few pennies in a pinch. Most bridal boutiques will offer the chance to rent their outfits if need be (it can be easier to rent suits than dresses though so keep that in mind) and we can guarantee you can find party planners online willing to rent you décor for your big day. Just remember to look after it as you won’t get your deposit back upon return!
As you can see, decorating your wedding space on a budget doesn’t mean you can’t achieve the majestic vision that you desire! With a bit of hot glue, some sparkles and a little help from your friends and family, the sky is the limit. Happy Designing!
