This August Bank Holiday weekend, Manchester Pride is back — and it’s bigger, bolder, and prouder than ever. From Friday 22nd to Monday 25th August, the city will come alive with colour, music, activism, and community spirit as we honour Manchester’s legacy in championing LGBTQ+ rights.

With one of the biggest Pride celebrations in the world, this year’s festival promises a four-day blend of headline performances, powerful protest, queer joy and unmissable moments — all while raising funds for grassroots LGBTQ+ projects across Greater Manchester.

Back at the heart of Canal Street, the Gay Village Party brings four days of music, cabaret, funfair rides, drag royalty and good vibes.

Taking over Depot Mayfield, Mardi Gras is a fierce new addition to Manchester Pride – a weekend of drag excellence, global stars, outrageous cabaret and euphoric energy.

Manchester Pride Parade – Saturday 23rd August

Set your alarms! The iconic Manchester Pride Parade kicks off at 12:00 noon from Liverpool Road, flowing through the city via Deansgate, Oxford Road, and Princess Street before finishing on Fairfield Street around 15:00.

This year’s theme is Love – celebrating its power to unite, uplift, and transform.

Top Tip: An accessible viewing area will be available opposite The Midland Hotel on Peter Street.


The Rally – Friday 22nd August

Start the weekend with purpose. The Rally brings together activists, leaders and performers to speak out against discrimination and spark conversations about justice and equality. Expect moving speeches, bold performances, and calls to action.


Superbia Festival – Saturday 23rd August

Celebrate creativity and community at Aviva Studios, where the Superbia Festival – powered by Factory International – showcases LGBTQ+ artists through live music, workshops, discussions, and more.


Community Lane – Sat 23rd & Sun 24th August

Wander through Community Lane, open 10:00–21:00, to discover unique market stalls, support local creatives and connect with LGBTQ+ charities and groups making a real difference in Manchester.


Candlelit Vigil – Monday 25th August, 21:00–22:00

Close the weekend with reflection at the Candlelit Vigil, curated by Nathaniel J Hall and Kate O’Donnell, in partnership with George House Trust. This moving tribute honours those lost to HIV and reminds us why we continue to fight stigma and celebrate life.
