LOUGHBOROUGH TO GET LUMINOUS AT THREE-DAY EVENT

Loughborough will sparkle with creativity at a brand-new event taking place next month.

Loughborough Light Nights, organised by Charnwood Borough Council, will see the award-winning Queen’s Park transformed into a glowing wonderland.

Taking place over three days from Friday 6 to Sunday 8 February 2026, from 5pm until 10pm each evening, the event promises an unforgettable experience of illuminated art, live performances and family-friendly fun.

Sections of Queen’s Park will be transformed into glowing stages for illuminated art installations, vibrant projections, live performances and entertainment, and interactive activities and workshops.

With something for every age, Loughborough Light Nights promises to be a spectacular highlight of the season.

Cllr Jennifer Tillotson, the Council’s lead member for economic development, regeneration and town centres, said:

“We’re thrilled to bring Loughborough Light Nights to beautiful Queen’s Park for the very first time.

“This exciting new event will not only brighten up the winter evenings but also showcase our commitment to supporting local businesses and creating a vibrant town centre.

“Thanks to the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, this event will be free to attend, and it’s a fantastic opportunity for residents and visitors to come together and enjoy something truly special.”
