Loughborough Town Hall Announces Spring Season With Line-up Of Star Acts

Loughborough Town Hall has announced its latest star-studded season of shows in spring 2024 featuring some of the best talent the UK has to offer in comedy, live music and drama.

Comedy takes centre-stage in the New Year, with the stand-up genius of Russell Kane once again delighting audiences, and Britain’s Got Talent winner Viggo Venn adds his hilarious clowning antics to 2024.

Whether it’s incredible live music from the likes of G4 and Trevor Nelson, the booming bass and bright lights of top-notch tribute bands, kids entertainment with Peppa Pig, musical theatre from Alice and Wonderland, or even the eccentric (and a little bit naughty) Queenz, there truly is something to suit all tastes at Loughborough Town Hall in 2024.

Comedy

Next year is all about laughter as we start to come out of the colder months. Russell Kane’s HyperReactive Tour (24 May) headlines this season and is sure to have audiences rolling in the aisles. The regular TV face was the Guardian’s Number One comedy performance in 2020, and is ready to have you roaring with laughter at his non-stop energetic style.

Viggo Venn (25 February) the Norwegian clown and winner of 2023’s Britain’s Got Talent comes to Loughborough just before the weather breaks and is sure to cause a few side stitches! His dream of becoming a British Comedian is well up and running!

And not to forget Daniel O’Reilly (6 April), formerly Dapper Laughs, and the award-winning Sophie McCartney slightly earlier in the year on 11 February to complete a top-drawer comedy line-up to rival any stage this coming spring.

Live Music

No Loughborough Town Hall line-up would be complete without some wonderful live music, and spring 2024 doesn’t disappoint.

G4 (19 April)are back with their 20th-anniversary tour, celebrating a whirlwind career so far with a look back over their favourite and most popular songs. The UK’s number-one vocal harmony group is definitely not one to miss!

Radio and DJ superstar Trevor Nelson brings his Soul Nation tour to Loughborough on 25 May to have you dancing the night away to old-school 80s, 90s and noughties soul sounds. Tickets will be available two weeks before the night, so get this one in your diary.

The incredible tribute acts Loughborough has booked for spring might just be the best line-up yet! Mania: The ABBA Tribute (22-23 March), The Bon Jovi Experience (4 April), Pink Floyd Experience (5 April), and What’s Love Got To Do With It? – A Tribute to Tina Turner (27 April) are just some of the unbelievable acts belting out well-known classics in 2024.

One of Ireland’s all-time acclaimed and influential traditional bands, The Fureys scratch that folk itch on 15 March, while Steve Harley’s music and stories from his stellar career can be heard on 21 April.

Musicals & Theatre

Fans of stage shows and theatrical drama aren’t left out in spring either, with plenty for them to sink their teeth into this coming season.

The Wizard of Oz (5-9 March) is presented by LAOS to kick off the season of drama, followed swiftly by the magical family musical of Alice in Wonderland on 26 March from the multi-award-nominated Immersion Theatre.

Based on the 1980s screen sensation, Footloose the Musical will get audiences jumping and jiving on 9-13 April, while Beyond the Barricade brings the best of musical theatre songs to Loughborough Town Hall’s stage on 18 May as part of their 25th-anniversary tour.

And if all that incredible entertainment wasn’t enough, audiences with little ones can look forward to Peppa Pig’s Fun Day Out (1-2 March), with the beloved children’s character bursting out of the screen and into her new live show. Packed full of songs, dance and muddy puddles, this show guarantees giggles and snorts for all Peppa fans, and is a perfect introduction to theatre.

Plus, the incredible and glamorous Queenz – The Show With Balls! (14 March) is direct from their smash-hit run in the West End. The dazzling divas deliver a night of fun and fabulousness as they dance like Britney and sing like Whitney!

All this and so much more is to come from Loughborough Town Hall’s Spring 2024 season – we’ve only scratched the surface!
