Around The World In 80 Days For NHS Charities

On your marks get set go! Bromsgrove Rugby Club Players, Staff and members go “Around the World in 80 Days” for NHS Charities Together and the Club.

Starting on May 6th, Bromsgrove Rugby Club are attempting to circumnavigate the globe in 80 Days by running, cycling, swimming or walking 25,000 miles. Inspired by the efforts of Captain Tom Parker the club have come together as one to raise money for our fabulous NHS heroes at such a difficult time for society.

Organised sport is such an important part of society and this fundraising activity will not only help people get active, it will support the men and women of the NHS who are risking their lives every day for the public, it will also help an organisation that has been part of the fabric of Bromsgrove society for nearly 150 years.

The challenge starts tomorrow morning and the there has a fantastic response to the #buildtheteam initiative and there is a real cross section of the club supporting the challenge. We’ve also managed to get England Rugby player Lark Davies on board as well as former Worcester Warrior Duncan Roke.

Ahead of the challenge, Club Captain Bobby Green stated, “the response from members within the club to be part of this has been fantastic and we hope it captures the public’s imagination and we raise as much money as possible for such a fantastic cause. We are under no illusions it is going to be a tough challenge as we have to complete 300 miles a day as a team but we are raring to go.”

Bromsgrove Rugby Club has over 400 mini and junior members as well as running 4 adults side.
