The Belgrade Theatre are hosting an array of live music tributes this August and September, from Stevie Wonder to The Spice Girls. This line-up of one night only shows, spans six decades of music, offering a great night out for generations young and old.
Artists Eddie Cochran, Gene Vincent, Billy Fury and Roy Orbison are commemorated on stage in Be Bop A Lula on Weds 30 August. With Eddie Cochran’s album Singin’ to My Baby marking its 60th anniversary this year, Eddie’s legacy will be celebrated alongside his contemporaries in this Rock n’ Roll extravaganza.
Jive Talkin’ presents the story of multi-platinum, award-winning artists The Bee Gees on Thurs 31 August. Enjoying West-End success, the show honours their chart-topping music, which has earned the group 30 UK top 40 hit singles.
Signed, Sealed, Delivered – A Tribute to Stevie Wonder takes the stage on Fri 1 Sept. American star Lejaune André will be joined on stage by a seven-piece band, backing vocalists, and dancers. The show features back-to-back number ones, including Stevie’s Grammy award-winning Signed, Sealed, Delivered.
Jackson Live in Concert revives the music of the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, on Sat 2 Sept. With a live band, original costumes and signature dance moves, the show captures the true essence of a live Jackson concerts and and features the hits Thriller, Beat it and Billie Jean and more.
The Rick Parfitt and Francis Rossi partnership is brought to the stage in The Quo Experience on Tues 26 Sept. Britain’s biggest singles chart band of all time, Status Quo, are celebrated on stage and featuring an impressive light show. With almost a year since Rick Parfitt’s passing, the 2 hour live-performance plays homage to his legacy.
Someone Like You – The Adele Songbook recreates the hits from three record-breaking albums 19, 21 and 25 on Weds 27 Sept. Hand-picked by Adele herself on Graham Norton’s BBC Adele Special, Katie Markham delivers the chart-topping singles including Set Fire To The Rain, Someone Like You and Hello.
Bobby Socks and Blue Jeans celebrates a medley of ‘50s and ‘60s music on Thurs 28 Sept. The show features over 40 smash hits from impressionist Kytsun Wolfe, who recreates icons including Elvis, John Lennon, Roy Orbison, Cliff, Mick Jagger, Billy Fury, Gene Pitney, The Bee Gees and more.
Killer Queen return to the Belgrade on Fri 29 Sept with their expert musicianship and accurate portrayal, earning them the title of Queen tribute royalty. Patrick Myers rendition of Freddie Mercury has enjoyed sell-out concerts across the globe from the UK to Moscow.
The Little Mix Experience pays tribute to X Factor winners on Sat 30 Sept. Little Mix’s most recent album Glory Days reached UK Number 1 with the highest first week sales for a UK girl group since Spice Girls’ Spiceworld. The Little Mix Experience recreates smash-hit songs DNA, Salute, Black Magic, Love Me Like You and more.
Girl Power – Celebrating Pop Legends The Spice Girls arrives at the Belgrade on Sat 30 Sept, delivering plenty of nineties nostaligia.
