The Belgrade Theatre looks ahead to a jam-packed Autumn Seasons of musicals, with some of the biggest West End titles taking to their stage in the coming months.
The Belgrade Theatre’s Autumn season highlights include SIX, Bugsy Malone, and Beautiful – The Carole King Musical. There is also the world premiere of the brand new musical, Bombay Superstar.
Kicking off the season will be family-favourite Bugsy Malone on its first ever UK tour. West End Best Friend reviewed this production as “simply breathtaking to behold“. The musical has all of the beloved songs like ‘Bad Guys’, ‘You Give A Little Love’ and ‘My Name is Tullulah’. It is a spectacle of musical audiences don’t want to miss out on. Audiences are invited into Fat Sam’s Grand Slam between 13-18 Sept.
World phenomenon SIX launches into Coventry this September!
The multi-award-winning show remixes five hundred years of historical heartbreak into an 80-minute celebration of 21st-century girl power. The queens take to their thone between 27 Sept – 2 Oct.
From Tues 4 – Sat 8 Oct, don your favourite suspenders and dig out your feather bowers! You guessed it, its time to do the Time Warp (again) at The Rocky Horror Show. The cult classic is a firm favourite with Coventry audiences.
The world world premiere of the brand new musical Bombay Superstar from 15-22 Oct.
This is a new musical in co-production with Phizzical and The New Wolsey Theatre. Bombay Superstar is a story of love and betrayal set in the golden age of Bollywood cinema. The new jukebox musical will feature some of the most iconic Bollywood hits of the 1970s and 89s, and marks Phizzical’s 50th production.
Continuing the dazzling season of musicals is West End and Broadway sensation Beautiful – The Carole King Musical comes to Coventry from Tues 1 – Sat 5 Nov. The production tells the inspiring true story of Carole King’s remarkable rise to stardom. Beautiful stars Molly-Grace Culter and Tom Milner who are familiar faces at the Belgrade. They appeared in their 2018 production of We’ll Live and Dive in These Town.
Concluding the Belgrade’s season is n Oliver Award-winning production direct from its run in London. Pride and Prejudice* (*sort of) is a unique and audacious retelling of Jane Austen’s most iconic love story. It stars an all-female cast and features a smashing soundtrack of songs like ‘You’re So Vain’, ‘Holding Out for a Hero’ and ‘I Got You Babe’.
