From mid-November until Christmas, the city’s popular spots and squares transform into a fairytale with illuminated roads, pop-up skating rinks and lights that sparkle on every street corner. The Viennese Christmas Market in Rathausplatz is considered the home of one of the most magical Christmas markets in Europe.

For the first time, Austria is hosting a comprehensive museum retrospective dedicated to Jean-Michel Basquiat (1960-1988). The Albertina’s major autumn exhibition will bring 80 key works from world-renowned collections to the capital. Another exhibition to check out in Vienna this Autumn is LOOK. at The Heidi Horten Collection. Newly opened in June 2022, this museum sets the ball rolling with this temporary exhibition. The subject: portraits of women and aspects of femininity. Fashion provides the central theme.
