Get Easter off to a flying start in Graz

Start Easter in style this year by jetting off to the Austrian city of Graz with bmi, direct from Birmingham.

The airline is the only UK carrier to fly to Graz and with fares from only £99 one way, it’s a great opportunity to pick up some delicious treats and traditional gifts at one of Europe’s biggest and best Easter festivals.

Graz is Austria’s second largest city and enjoys UNESCO status thanks to its historical attractions including the Schlossberg and Clock Tower, which can be ascended by funicular railway.  The Easter celebrations all take place from 23 – 31 March, centred around the Hauptplatz & Town Hall featuring 35 local and international stalls.

There will be opportunities to purchase all types of Easter related items including painted goose eggs, ceramic Easter bunnies and of course chocolate!  There will also be various garden accessories for the coming spring, plus items for the home including glass, wood and leather.

For kids, there is a dedicated workshop throughout the week, while foodies will enjoy the culinary delicacies including roasted pumpkin seeds, locally produced honey and local liqueurs and schnapps.

For those who cannot get away for Easter, Graz offers many reasons to visit throughout the year including:
