The countdown is officially on until the exhilarating 100-ball cricket competition – The Hundred – returns to the world-renowned Edgbaston Stadium this summer. Kick-starting the tournament, Birmingham Phoenix’s 2025 campaign gets underway with one of the biggest games in The Hundred fixture schedule – a fiercely fought derby against local rivals Trent Rockets at Edgbaston on Friday 8 August.
With just a month to go until the tournament gets underway, the opening fixture is set to be a jam-packed day of cricket and world-class entertainment, with the double-header match day starting at 3pm with the Birmingham Phoenix Women’s team, followed by the Men’s team taking to the pitch from 6.30pm.
Following the first game, Edgbaston Stadium will play host to all Birmingham Phoenix home matches including, Oval Invincibles (12 August), London Spirit (17 August), and finally Welsh Fire (22 August), in what is set to be an unmissable and action-packed tournament. Spectators are guaranteed an incredible family-fun day out, with every match day featuring two matches of world-class cricket alongside fantastic entertainment.
As part of a collaboration with BBC Introducing, rising stars KANDA, The White Lakes, Josh Latunji and Eloise Fabbri are set to perform across the four home fixtures, and Birmingham Phoenix’s resident DJ will be offering non-stop entertainment at every home game.
