Honey Box Live, the UK’s groundbreaking live-streamed music show, is thrilled to announce its first broadcast episode from Leicester with a special event on Sunday 16th February 2025.
In partnership with 2Funky Arts and supported by De Montfort University, this exciting pop-up gig offers local music fans a unique opportunity to experience the best of Leicester’s talent in an intimate, live TV studio-style setting. As a regular show that combines live performances with a professional broadcast experience, Honey Box Live showcases emerging UK talent like no other live music event in the country.
The event will mark Series 8, Episode 4 of Honey Box Live, offering an exciting mix of live performances and behind-the-scenes broadcast magic, similar to the iconic style of a Jools Holland Hootenanny.
Through its collaboration with 2Funky Arts, Honey Box Live brings together live music and a professional broadcast experience, creating an unforgettable evening for both the live audience and those tuning in online.
Performances by Harri Georgio and the Well-Behaved Young Men, Cocoh and Izzy Seville will take centre stage, while the audience enjoys not only the music but also the thrill of being part of a live, televised event. With warm-up acts, live rehearsals, and refreshments on offer, the atmosphere promises to be both relaxed and electric, providing the perfect setting for a great night out.

Thanks to funding from De Montfort University, this event also provides valuable opportunities for students to gain hands-on experience in broadcast production. As part of the collaboration, the university’s students will work alongside the Honey Box Live production team, learning real-world skills in sound engineering, broadcast management, and live event coordination. This investment in local talent and education further supports the events mission to nurture and elevate the grassroots music scene, offering vital support to both emerging musicians and the next generation of industry professionals.
