THE GOOD CLOTHES SHOW COMES TO BIRMINGHAM

A brand new 3 day sustainable fashion festival is coming to Birmingham’s NEC on the 20th- 22nd September.  The Good Clothes Show, aims to inspire positive change within the mainstream market by providing a much needed bridge between pop culture and sustainable fashion. As well as workshops and runway events it will bring together  lower impact fashion from pre-loved + vintage, responsibly motivated independent labels, rental platforms, customisers, menders and makers into one space.

As well as a model search competition in partnership with Select Model Management, visitors can expect a programme of workshops and talks from the likes of Emma Slade Edmonson, Patrick Grant, Brett Staniland, Clare Press, Lauren Bravo and Tori Tsui.

The centre piece to the show is  the real life ‘circular machine’ where visitors to the show are invited to bring in clothes they no longer want, drop them at a central point and from there they will be diverted in one of three directions – to Smart Works donation space – to Global Fashion Exchanges ‘Swap – or to White Rose’s ‘customisation station.
