Come face-to-face with cinema’s most iconic nightmares at Birmingham Botanical Gardens’ brand new after-dark immersive scare experience to celebrate Halloween.
Running from 28th October until 5th November, ‘Horrors of the Silver Screen’ transports visitors to a deserted movie lot and an eerie encounter with a deranged film producer.
The only way to escape is to navigate through a series of terrifying scenes around the Gardens, inspired by classic horror movies. Get ready to embark on a spine-tingling journey and encounter a creepy cast of horribly familiar characters.
Aimed at adult audiences (aged 16 plus), the spine-chilling experience culminates with a live stage performance of ‘Tales of the Macabre!’.
“Horrors of the Silver Screen is more than just a scare attraction; it’s an immersive experience that will leave you breathless and craving for more,” said the show’s creator Gary Starr.
“Our team of talented actors, skilled set designers, and special effects experts have meticulously crafted each scene to ensure an unparalleled level of fright and excitement.
“Whether you’re a horror enthusiast or seeking an adrenaline-pumping adventure, Horrors of the Silver Screen promises to deliver an unforgettable and spine-chilling experience,” he added.
Visitors can calm their nerves with a stiff drink at the bar afterwards and there will also be food stalls to stave off any hunger pangs.
The entire experience, including the stage performance, will take approximately 75 minutes and will feature the use of haze, strobes, flashing lights and jump scares.
‘Horrors of the Silver Screen’ is a joint collaboration between Birmingham Botanical Gardens and Gary Starr Creative Ltd.
