The M&W (Mahan & Wouhra family) Charity Ball on Saturday 3rd November raised a record total of £100,134 in their second year for the UK Sepsis Trust and mental health charity MIND.
Over 650 guests came together including special guests Harry Potter and Star Wars actor Warwick Davis, Aston Villa Footballer Yannick Bolasie and the host for the evening Sky Sports presenter Pete Graves.
The money raised at the M&W Charity Ball will help the UK Sepsis Trust to raise public awareness, educate health professionals and provide vital support to survivors of the condition.
A portion of the funds raised will also be donated to MIND, a charity which focuses on raising awareness and promoting understanding around mental health across the UK.
Attendees gathered at Resorts World’s Vox Conference Centre to enjoy the ‘Maharaja Gardens’ event theme, an evening filled with vibrant entertainment, fine Indian cuisine and charity auctions in lavish Rajasthan-inspired surroundings.
Founder & CEO of UK Sepsis Trust Dr. Ron Daniels BEM said “As a healthcare charity [slideshow_deploy id=’21622′]that influences national change but has its roots here West Midlands it’s been a fantastic privilege for us to work with the Mahan and Wouhra families to make tonight and last year’s event so successful. Events like these make a huge difference to the people of the West Midlands and beyond and we hope to be able to keep working together to cement our relationship further and continue effecting change into the future”.
We would like to say a huge thank you to the sponsors of this year’s SME Global; Nathaniel Dupruis; The Intelligent Strategic Partnership; Porsche; Hyatt Regency Birmingham; Mars Wrigley; Kuflink and Mondelēz.
