Say It With Gusto: A Special Thanks For Nottingham Covid Heroes

Gusto Italian

GUSTO ITALIAN is looking to celebrate Covid-19 heroes from across Nottinghamshire. It’s giving away ten Christmas parties for deserving individuals to celebrate with their colleagues or loved ones at its new city centre restaurant and bar.

Gusto Italian, which recently announced it would be returning to Nottingham with a fully immersive dining experience, is looking for the ultimate community heroes to win a festive feast when it opens its doors later this year.

Throughout the pandemic, we witnessed truly remarkable acts of courage and kindness from all walks of life. From those saving and protecting lives in health and care roles, to staff working round the clock to keep supermarket shelves stacked, volunteers fundraising for charities in need or simply a friendly neighbour looking out for their community. If you know someone that deserves to be recognised, now is the time to nominate them.

Matt Snell, CEO at Gusto Italian, said: “Opening a new restaurant is an incredibly exciting time, but we can’t forget that it comes off the back of an extremely challenging 18 months. We want to recognise this, and the incredible compassion shown by so many.

“So in the true spirit of Christmas, we want to celebrate the individuals and groups who went above and beyond throughout the pandemic, as chosen by the people of Nottingham who witnessed it. We are asking for the people of Nottinghamshire to nominate their heroes by simply completing our nomination form.

“Once we have selected our shortlist of nominees, we’ll be in touch to plan a truly memorable Christmas experience at our new restaurant, which we hope goes some way in showing our gratitude.”

The restaurant is currently undergoing transformation from the former Frankie & Benny’s in Upper Parliament Street. Prominent features will include an open kitchen, a cocktail, coffee and cannoli bar and a chef’s-table-style pizza experience – open just in time for Christmas.

Anybody can nominate as many people or organisations as they like, but the nominee must live or work/volunteer in Nottinghamshire.

Nominations are open until Sunday 7th November at 23:59pm. Gusto Italian will then make its decision and contact the worthy winners.
