We adore the Buckingham Palace Armchair; a regal addition to living and entertaining spaces, this statement design is perfectly displayed as a piece of historical artwork, guaranteed to be a conversation starter amongst guests and friends.
Starting life as a traditional 1960s fireside armchair, the original beech frame has been stripped back to the bare frame, treated and then hand painted in a complimentary uniform grey chalk paint before, an original vintage uniform, once worn by a member of the Queen’s Royal Household, expertly cut and tailored to fit the individual parts of the chair is fitted.
Colour coordinating fabrics have been carefully selected to match the texture and rich navy tone of the original uniform, creating distinctive panels in a suitably-fitting royal red tone, that also translates into the delicate piping that edges the chair’s seat and armrests.
The uniform’s original epaulettes, labels and buttons are then intricately hand-stitched onto the chair for a flourish of authenticity.
