Lamp Supporter to Tour Leicester Landmarks in Charity Run and Walk

Lamp fundraising event in Leicester

Andrew Lewis will run and walk to various city landmarks in one day to raise money for Lamp, a local mental health charity. The 16-mile route takes in 12 well-known local spots across Leicester. Andrew hopes that the challenge will raise around £1,000.

The one-day challenge, on Saturday 25 March 2023, will see Andrew start the day with a parkrun at Braunstone Park before walking to Everards Meadows, The Black Horse at Aylestone, Leicestershire County Cricket Ground, King Power stadium, Mattioli Woods Welford Road stadium, Victoria Park, De Montfort Hall, New Walk Museum, Curve and Phoenix theatres, Morningside Arena, Abbey Park and finally ending the day at Jubilee Square.

Andrew is a familiar face in Thornton and Bagworth where he delivers the local newspaper, The Herald. He will be raising money through sponsorship and will donate the money to Lamp. For more details or to sponsor him, visit https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/andylewis

“Mental health is seriously underfunded in the NHS and there is not enough support for sufferers. Lamp provides vital help for people in Leicester and Leicestershire. That is why I am highlighting their work and doing my best to raise funds for them.” says Andrew.
