Luxury event space in Nottingham, Upstairs at Cleaver & Wake, is based on the top floor of the iconic 1 The Island Quarter building, which offers panoramic views across the city, the upcoming calendar of events provides a selection of premium experiences for people in Nottingham to enjoy.
Following on from the success of its sold-out classes and events last winter, the new schedule launched on Saturday 27 April with the venue’s first ever spring wreath-making workshop. Taking place from 2pm – 4pm, guests can expect a relaxing afternoon designed to inspire their creativity, with a glass of fizz to enjoy while arranging their choice of pastel blooms.
The space’s popular cheese and wine tasting evening will also return after its successful launch in March. Starting at 6pm on Saturday 25 May, the event will be hosted by the restaurant’s in-house sommelier Linzi Godrich and Cleaver & Wake chef Callum Dovey. There, guests will get the chance to try six different wines including sparkling, red, white, rosé and dessert wine, perfectly paired with local, British and international cheeses.
Alongside workshops, perfect for spending time with friends, there are also plenty of opportunities to meet new people at Upstairs at Cleaver & Wake this spring too. Those who are single or interested in dating can enjoy the relaxed sociable atmosphere of East Midlands singles event specialist, Single & Mingle, at its ticketed event on Thursday 10 May. Starting at 7pm, those that arrive before 7:30pm will receive a complementary glass of fizz to enjoy as they start off their evening.
On Thursday 2 May, a boutique shopping night and celebration of female entrepreneurs takes place from 7pm – 10pm, in partnership with Love, Tamara. There attendees can browse a selection of female-owned fashion brands and learn sartorial tips from London College of Style trained personal stylist, Steph Hanson, with massage therapist Andriana Ward available to offer taster treatments throughout the evening.
